About the Board of Education
The Board of Education is an elected group of seven individuals who volunteer their services to the Crest Ridge R-7 School District and its constituency. The Board is elected to three year terms each. As Board Members the state of Missouri charges them with the responsibility of providing educational opportunities for all children of the Crest Ridge School District through determining policies and evaluating results. The Board of Education meets in regular session the third Monday of each month
Each Board Member of the Crest Ridge R-7 School District must complete a mandated 16 hour state approved training within their first year on the Board. Citizens wishing to address the Board during the Citizen Comment must address an posted agenda item and is limited to three minutes. Citizens wishing to have an item placed on the Board Agenda must present a written request to the Board of Education Secretary at the District Office five business days prior to the scheduled meeting.
The policies of the Crest Ridge School District Board of Education are consistently reviewed. Revisions to current policies and/or new policies are adopted by the Board frequently. All revisions are posted as soon as possible; however, we cannot guarantee that all polices reflect the most current information and procedures. Every effort is made to update policies regularly and any changes are posted 30 days prior to formal approval.
