NJHS members will be assisting the Crest Ridge YBL board in running the YBL games this year. Games begin on January 7th, and run each Saturday through March 3rd.  Each member is asked to work one 3 1/2 hour shift.  See Mrs. English to sign up!!

Eligibility & Membership

The National Junior Honor Society is comprised of students in the 8th and 9th grades.  Students initially become eligible for membership during the fall of their 8th grade year based upon their cumulative middle school GPA.  Anyone with a Grade Point Average of 3.86 or higher will receive a letter requesting information on their extracurricular activities and interests.  Once that information is collected, the Faculty Council (comprised of Middle School teachers) will vote on membership based on the fundamental principles of the Honor Society: service, leadership, character, and citizenship.  Students who are selected for membership will be notified and invited to attend the Induction Ceremony held each October.  Eligibility will be reviewed periodically to ensure that students are maintaining the standards expected of NJHS members.  Eligibility will also be reviewed for prospective members from the 8th and 9th grades each fall before the induction ceremony.

Fall 2011 Induction - Monday, November 14, 2011

Congratulations to the newest members of the Bob Furrey Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.  The induction ceremony was held on Monday, November 14, 2011, in conjunction with the induction for the Andruss-Gudde Chapter of the National Honor Society.  Guest speaker, Superintendent Julie Dill, encouraged members to continue living by the five characteristics which earned them membership into the organization: scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship.
