Employment Opportunities at Crest Ridge

Applying As A Substitute Teacher:

If you are certified educator please complete the certified application.  If you are not certified please complete the classified application. 

Thank you for your interest in substituting for Crest Ridge School District. To apply to be a substitute you will need to complete a Substitute packet: Classified Application, Personnel Information Form, Federal W-4, State W-4, I-9 form along with two forms of ID, Direct Deposit form along with a voided check. Copies of your Sub Certificate and Transcripts. A current background check for Crest Ridge will also need to be obtained. 


Johnson County (Crest Ridge) R-VII School District holds the safety of our students as a priority. All new substitutes are required to complete a background check specific for our school per board policy 4120.

As a participating school in the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Rap Back program, for both state and federal reporting, background checks on the DESE website will not be accepted for employment. The Rap Back program provides the District with reports of arrest after an initial background check was completed. These reports are specific only to the registration code used when registering for a background check. Although Districts can share information with one another, the information may not be provided in a timely fashion.
