Crest Ridge FBLA is hosting their 3rd Annual 8th Grade Leadership Workshop this Thursday, April 2nd during 5th & 6th hour. The workshop is designed to get students thinking about the skills they need to be successful in high school. This year, our guest speaker is our own CR Alum, Cameran Taylor! Cameran will have copies of her newest release, “My Sister, Mother Goose” available for $12 if students are interested in purchasing a copy.

Cameran Taylor is an author who discovered her gift for writing at a young age. She’s passionate about encouraging others and sharing thoughtful, joy‑filled stories. With an English degree and a minor in psychology, she leads with empathy, confidence, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Cameran has many varying interests, including exploration/adventure, teaching, and basketball. She’s found that no matter where her interests take her, everything comes together the moment her pencil hits the page.

She’s excited to come share at Crest Ridge, the school she graduated from in 2020 and the place she found so many opportunities to practice being a leader!

ELA 1 students participated in a poetry workshop held by the UCM English department today. They analyzed poems and created their own as the they rotated through different stations. We are thankful to have a good relationship with the UCM English Education department so that we have these opportunities. These students exhibited exemplary behavior, which is why we were invited to help future teachers practice.
