Freshmen worked hard in Mrs. Bartholomew's ELA class to translate the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene speech into modern language. They wrote it like teenagers speak today. They then performed their scenes in costumes.

Baseball offseason starts this Sunday February 2nd at 5:30 in the MS Gym.

Follow up for picture day. CRE students and staff please wear your Culture of Excellence shirt that was given to each student at the beginning of the school year. New students check with your teacher for a shirt.

Ms. Curless's class took advantage of a 10 min power outage at the elementary building with some flashlight reading. The power is back on, and we are back to our normal day.

Future Plans: Graduate, go to college maybe, buy some land, and get animals (pigs, ducks, raccoons).
Favorite high school memory: Hanging out in the library with Mr. Laws while he played the Barney theme song out loud.
Advice for an underclassman: Do the work, it pays off.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?: Successful with a home of my own with my family.

Secondary Parent & Guardians: On Friday, January 31, our school will host a Child Safe presentation on sexual abuse prevention, as Missouri law requires for students in grades 6–12.
An opt-out letter should have come home with your child last week. If you did not receive it and prefer your child not to attend, you can pick up a letter in the office. Completed forms must be returned by Friday morning to opt out of the presentation.
