Due to the expected extreme heat on Friday 8/25 for the home varsity football game vs Tipton we will be moving the start of the game to 8pm.
UPDATE: Due to the heat advisory this week and MSHSAA guidelines we will be moving junior high and high school football practice up to the morning. We will practice from 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM. See you in the morning!
We are very excited to get the year started tomorrow. Remember to be sure and sign up for before school care if you plan on arriving between 7:00 and 7:30am. The doors close at 7:30 for safety and then busses will unload at 7:45am and then car riders unload after the busses. Pre-k students will unload in the south gravel lot 7:45-8:00. Also, all students need to bring a water bottle. It's a great day to be a Cougar!!
Important message from Transportation:
We are excited to start the new year! Everyone should know the approximate time of bus pick up for tomorrow morning. The time could vary a few minutes either way as the bus drivers and our community members get reacclimated to our first day of school routine. Starting at 6:00 am, there will be a person in the transportation dispatch office to address concerns by telephone. The dispatch office telephone number is 660-656-3316, prompt 4.

Meet the Cougars 2023-24
Just a quick reminder that 22/23 yearbooks for the secondary building will be available for pick up in the HS lobby tonight from 5:30-7pm. There are a few extras that can be purchased for $59.
You can also place an order for a 23/24 yearbook for $52 at the table. This price will be available until Sept 15th and will go up incrementally throughout the year.

The I-70 Conference has voted to up the entry fee for adults at sporting events and activities to $5. The fee for kids is $3. Sorry, Seniors are still FREE!
Secondary Parents & Guardians: Just a courtesy notice on handbook changes for this year. No student door dash deliveries. 92% attendance is required for participation in athletics and activities. Also, just a reminder about pocket knives--they shouldn't come to school! If you have any questions or concerns, please pop in tomorrow during meet the teachers!

Crest Ridge parents: The MAP- Grade Level Assessments and EOCs scores are in. They will be distributed during parent teacher conferences on October 23rd.
