The World History students got to see history come to life today! They went Nelson Atkins Art Museum and got to see the art work throughout history.

The 4th graders in Mrs. Chugg's class have been learning about the different types of graphs used to show a data set. The students took what they learned and came up with a question over a topic they were interested in. The students designed a visual choice board displaying the four options the students being surveyed could choose from. They conducted their survey with the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade lunch shifts by asking fifteen students their question and allowing them to point to their choice. The students came back to the classroom and organized the data on a Tally Chart or a Number Chart. Finally, the students created a bar graph to display the data they had collected.

Mrs. Chugg's 4th grade students practiced their ability to identify the four types of sentences (Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, and Exclamatory). They walked around the school visiting Task Cards posted on the walls and recorded their answers on a chart. Mrs. Milton's 5th grade students were also working in the hall on their math concepts through the use of small group Wall Posters.
