Cougar cards were passed out to students last week. It is a small way of recognizing kids who are doing all the little things right. Students are eligible for the card quarterly, so if an opportunity was missed--there will be more chances (including one very soon).

🌟 Senior Spotlight🌟
Addie Shippy

Addie’s favorite high school memory is spending time with her friends and making memories with her class.

She has been involved in just about everything at Crest Ridge — Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Cheer, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, and Track.

Addie says her parents, teachers, and coaches made the biggest impact on her by always pushing her to do her best. Her advice to younger Cougars is: “Don’t give up and be involved with everything you can, it goes by fast.”

After graduation, Addie plans to attend State Fair to study Occupational Therapy or pursue a career working with kids. In 10 years, she sees herself graduating from college, getting married, and starting a family.

Fun fact: Addie has participated in every girls’ sport Crest Ridge has offered.
Her favorite quote comes from Frank Ocean: “Be yourself and know that that’s good enough.”
We’re proud of you, Addie!

Great games tonight in volleyball vs Santa Fe! JH came away with the 2-0 victory. The varsity played 5 exciting sets but came up a little short.

Cougar Fans,

Due to a couple of injuries Kingsville will not be able to compete in the JV volleyball game on 10/7. They will keep the same time of competition 5:00pm for the Varsity Contest with the Senior Ceremony to follow the game as planned.

The 2026-27 FAFSA is now open! If you are the parent of a senior, this is a critical time to start the FAFSA process if you know your student is college-bound. Here is more information on what the FAFSA is! Any further questions, please contact Ms. Boyd: rboyd@crestridge.org

Grandparent's Day at CRE was a big hit but then again when isn't a little John Denver and a big chicken not a hit. Thank you Mrs. Currence for preparing the performance, Mrs. Meyrand for all things book fair, CRE PTO, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Weeks for organization, all staff for wrangling students and adults, grandparents for showing up and our students for being the wonderful human being they are. Love having all the grandparents out to show their support for our students. It takes a village.

Senior parents! Financial aid makes education after high school more affordable – but first, students have to apply by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Each year, millions of students who are eligible for aid dollars are unable to complete the FAFSA, leaving money on the table that could have helped them pursue postsecondary education.

Please reach out today and talk to Ms. Boyd about resources to assist families in completing the FAFSA. It makes a huge difference

Cougar Fans,
We would like to show you what the finished product of the track and football field will look like. The track will be black with green exchange zones with the jump pits behind the north endzone and the long jump and pole vault behind the south endzone. There will be new bleachers for the visitors and a sidewalk for them to use around the south end of the track. There will also be a new sidewalk on the northside of the home bleachers as well as a black coated fence around the entire track. The field will have no visible crown, an irrigation system and new sod. Big things are happening here at Crest Ridge! Thank you so much for all the community support!
